The Challenge
Traditional Asian zodiac animals can often feel a bit formal or outdated. The goal was to redesign all twelve animals into cute, relatable, and modern characters that anyone can easily fall in love with.
The Process
I established the visual identity from 0 to 1, starting with 2D character sketches to define the distinct silhouettes, tactile proportions, and personality traits of the 12 Zodiac guardians. To translate these illustrations into cohesive 3D models and animated loops without losing their hand-drawn charm, I engineered a procedural AI workflow utilizing Figma Weave and Kling AI.
Solution
Delivered a scalable, production-ready character IP complete with a systematic brand guide including custom wordmark lockups, adaptive color palettes, and typographic hierarchies.
